Highline College
Virtual Commencement 2020
Annual Ceremony
Highline College’s Annual Commencement Ceremony Honors the Class of 2020 with the first ever Virtual Commencement Ceremony. Commencement is the ceremony held each June to honor graduates. Each graduate participating in the ceremony is featured with a slide including an optional photo and quote, their certificate or degree, and applicable honors recognition.

The virtual ceremony will begin on Thursday, June 11, 2020, at 5:00 PM.

We hope you enjoy this virtual celebration and join us for an in-person reception in winter 2021, depending on the social distancing restrictions at that time. There is also a unique opportunity to honor our 2020 grads during a “Community Homecoming” in fall 2021 while we celebrate our 60th anniversary.

Commencement 2020 invites us to collectively take a moment and acknowledge all Indigenous and First People of the land and space in which we live and breathe. For our community at Highline College, we recognize that we are on occupied Duwamish, Coast Salish, Muckleshoot, and Puyallup lands and we want to thank all relations and tribes today as we prepare to hold space as a community and celebrate our graduates. We recognize that all of us are joining this ceremony from different areas and we invite you to reflect and thank all Indigenous and First People of the land and space in which we are coming from.
